Currently reading: A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius by Dave Eggers (editor of McSweeney's)

I shouldn't be reading this book. I should be doing better in my classes, which my parents are paying obscene amounts of money for me to take. But not to bias you against the book - it's a great book. A few months ago, I would have told you that postmodernism is a crock of shit. But after ready Kurt Vonnegut's Breakfast of Champions, I fell in love with his conscious use of authorial voice. It was so cool. Dave Eggers employs all the defining qualities of postmodernism: irony, hyperreality. Not that I'm an expert on postmodernism - that would be a completely inaccurate impression to relate.

It's a very enjoyable book. But I should be doing other work. And if you're not going to read the AHWSG, at least read McSweeney's.
