The following is how I

The following is how I spent 15 minutes of my life last night.
It is one of my favorite AOL instant messenger conversations ever, between me (ktheory8) and my friend Stephanie from college:

ktheory8 (11:46:04 PM): hello?
ktheory8 (11:47:18 PM): tttttttthhhhhhhhhhhhhppppppppp.
ktheory8 (11:47:52 PM): I hope you made it to Conneticut (sp.) or Massachussetts (sp.) or where ever safely.
ktheory8 (11:48:42 PM): I think I'll fritter away a few more hours suffering the net, instead of doing something meaningful, constructive, or worthwhile.
ktheory8 (11:48:51 PM): Or maybe I'll go watch softcore on HBO.
ktheory8 (11:49:32 PM): I'm getting comfortable with this monologue style of speech.
ktheory8 (11:50:01 PM): tap tap tapping my fingers on the keyboard.
ktheory8 (11:50:26 PM): and the electrons travel across the wire across the line into everywhere.
ktheory8 (11:50:36 PM): into your computer into your mind.
ktheory8 (11:51:05 PM): and you tap tap back into my mind into my consciousness.
ktheory8 (11:51:09 PM): But not now.
ktheory8 (11:51:27 PM): Oh no, not now because you are not there not there not there not there.
ktheory8 (11:52:03 PM): There is nowhere is everywhere everyTHING, nothing because you are not there
ktheory8 (11:52:08 PM): But could be everything.
ktheory8 (11:52:32 PM): everywhere
ktheory8 (11:52:34 PM): everyone
ktheory8 (11:52:43 PM): tap tap tapping into our brains
ktheory8 (11:52:59 PM): into our lives into our day-to-day activities
ktheory8 (11:54:19 PM): but this this this THING this everything-everywhere is not real reality.
ktheory8 (11:54:36 PM): It is virtual. Real virtuality.
ktheory8 (11:54:46 PM): Real virtual reality
ktheory8 (11:55:13 PM): Because it affects everyone, you and me, and our day-to-day activities.
ktheory8 (11:56:28 PM): so tap tap back, from your brain to your fingers to the keys, tap tap, across the wires, into space into everywhere
ktheory8 (11:56:35 PM): then to me
ktheory8 (11:56:59 PM): on my screen to my eyes to my brain
ktheory8 (11:57:20 PM): and it, everything, you affect me, change me
ktheory8 (11:57:45 PM): and we change, everything changes, everywhere is different.
ktheory8 (11:57:58 PM): I hear tapping.
ktheory8 (11:58:01 PM): We're changing.
ktheory8 (11:58:33 PM): that's the end of my poem.
ktheory8 (11:58:43 PM): I kinda composed it on the spot.
ktheory8 (12:01:10 AM): I hope you like it.
ktheory8 (12:01:18 AM): Ok, ttyl.
