Ooh! I just got to the chapter in Fountainhead where Roark rapes Dominique. It's so good! Well, not rape in general, of course, but this raping is unique because Dominique wants to be raped and enjoys it. Is it really rape then?
Some thoughts on the book:
Well, I generally like the book. Certainly Rand's writing style and plot are excellent. The ideas are interesting, but I don't think I agree with most of them. For example, the characters' happiness comes from their independence of and apathy towards others. I don't think that's where happiness comes from in reality.
