Missed Connections

I used to think that the Chicago Reader had the best Missed Connections. I would read them immediately after reading the syndicated columns Savage Love and Straight Dope. The main appeal was thinking how I was less pathetic than all those people who paid for missed connection ads. And I entertain the possibility that I could be the subject of a missed connection.

BUT, my point is that the Reader hasn’t got anything on Craig’s List missed connections. Here are a few choice missed connections: almost hit your car, To you, A, my love, to a girl unaware, that cutie in the American Airlines commercial. And that’s just in Chicago. Craig has a best of page that has personal ads from other cities. Check out Misunderstanding, I need mono, Crazed Anarchist Seeks Schizophrenic Princess, Covert surveillance and long walks in the park dolores park, sunday 11/24, love at first sight – w4m sorority girl seeks successful christian frat boy. Update: Check out I can't believe you peed on my ficus tree and 101 slogans from today’s peace rally.

Okay, back to work now.
