I got a Christmas present

I got a Christmas present today. It was a book my father hid in a closet and subsequently forgotten. We were cleaning it out today, and we came across it. Cool.
The book is The Zinn Reader : Writings on Disobedience and Democracy by Howard Zinn. I highly recommend this book, but if you're not familiar with Zinn, you might want to start off with The People's History of the United States. If you've seen Good Will Hunting, you probably remember the scene in the bar where Matt Damon showed up a Harvard student regarding colonial American economics. Well, Howard Zinn was the historing Matt Damon said to read "if you want to read a real historian".
But anyway, I like Zinn a lot. He is very liberal, and doesn't mind letting that infringe on his objectivity. But he presents his own facts in such a way that forces the reader to question the fundamental lessons of history that we learn in school. And that's a good thing.
