This evening was pretty chill. Margaret and I went to a sushi bar in Old Town. I had Chimay beer at the restaurant, which is really good beer (perhaps a bit on the pretentious side—I'll stick to Rolling Rock for most social situations in college). Then we saw Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. Except for Yoda's performance in the end, the movie was cheesy and predictable. At points, people in the theater laughed at how bad the acting was.
Afterwards, Margaret and I had a thought-provoking conversation about our concepts of self. My Science as Cultivation class and Margaret's Buddhist Thought class have provided new ways for us to situate ourselves in relation to the world.
Yea philosophical conversation! (Point to ponder: what role should other people's perception play in our self-perception?)
