Last night I watch Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Holy crap, what an excellent show. I watched it with Katie, whose boss at the Art Institute of Chicago is friends with Ted Allen, the food & wine connoisseur. I liked his character because he was the least flamboyant of the gay guys and gave the show some balance, although the outspokenness of Carson Kressley was hilarious; “I want him to wear something snappy, something like I’m wearing.”
Tapping gay culture for reality television was pretty clever. I’m as surprised by Bravo as I was by ABC and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
Got plans tonight? Everyone who’s anyone is going to be at the Gapers’ Block Party.
