Tidbits
The New York Times has an article and slideshow about people doing research in pure math. The picture of the guy writing on the chalkboard: I’m pretty sure he’s diagraming the lattice structure of mappings between fields. Hella tight.
This is the first Web site I made at my new job at Web Services for the University. I still need to copyedit it though, i.e., change the title to “Online Resources” rather than “Resources Online” (wtf?)
A few days ago I bet some friends that I could eat a dozen Boston cream doughnuts in thirty minutes. I failed, and only ate nine. Pictures are here but I haven’t made the pages of the slideshow yet, so you just get the ghetto directory listing for now.

I wonder how many calories are in a dozen doughnuts.
Also, nice haircut. I miss the Evan Mariott mop though.

we wondered about the calories, too. a couple of us, including me, figured that a boston cream donut would HAVE to have at LEAST 300 calories, possibly more. turns out they only have about 250 each. plus, aaron only ate nine, so that’s a mere 2250 calories. that’s like NOTHING!

Krispy Kremes!? Then we’d have to make the deal 2 dozen in an hour. The bavarian cream was the crux of my failure.

on a more serious note, you should have just drank 12 PBR’s in the alloted time. Peebers are way better than doughnuts.
I like the pictures that change in the upper left. Expecially the dude falling from the sky. That one is cool as dirt

Those guys are (far to near) Anders and Henrik (a couple of wacky Danes), and my roommate from last spring, Sean. The guy writing on the chalkboard was about to bust out with the octahedral axiom from derived-category theory. He’s a frickin’ stud.
