That Christmas Shoes song is the worst song ever. I’d rather have a paper cut on my eye than listen to that song. Somehow, I managed to avoid it last year. This season is the first I’ve heard it. What a sappy sack of crap.
Oh, and the line, “I want her to look beautiful if Mama meets Jesus tonight”; isn’t that a little risque? I get a mental image of Jesus saying, “Damn woman, you’re sick and dead…but you look fine!”

oh my dear Lord , have you NO Christmas spirit ?
this song has the true meaning of Christmas ,
Giving is better than receiving.
” So I laid the money down,
I just had to help him out.
I’ll never forget the look on his face,
He said mama’s gonna look so great. ”
There is also another VERY important meaning to this ,
dont take ANYONE for granted , because you could lose them at any moment in time.
” If mama meets Jesus tonight ”
I love this song , it makes me cry all the time , i’m always afraid of losing my mother.
and yes , i do take granted of her , even though i know i shouldn’t ,
and i try not to do that anymore.
And i am very sure Jesus would never say the word ” Damn , ” and i surely dont think Jesus would speak in
SLANG !
I’m sorry, but this comment about this song hurts me ,
because my grandfather died on mothers day of 2005 ,
and never got to spend ONE christmas with him ,
at least that i know of.
and i think its suppose to be SAPPY ,
