I think we need a picture of your newly acquired plant if we’re to comment intelligently about its name.

Like what if I suggest the name Euclid and then you post the picture and it turns out the plant exists in non-Euclidean space?

last night my roommate and i wasted at least an hour talking about how funny it would be to name a baby stalin.

i believe it is also funny to name a plant stalin (not quite as funny as a baby, but still funny).

I say go for Theophrastus. He, like Aristotle, began to name plants, classify them, and such. I would suggest Aristotle, but that name is like, totally overused. hehe

Ok, I’ve decided on names.

I’m going to name both the plants Bob. I will refer to them collectively as ‘the Bobs’, as in, “I’m going to go water the Bobs.” (It’s an Office Space reference.)

Once I convince a friend with a digital camera to photograph the Bobs I’ll put a picture up.

I plan to buy another plant just so I can name it Hobbes. Then I can refer to all my plants as “the Bobs ‘n’ Hobbes”, which sounds funny because it rhymes. :-)
