Abercrombie & Fitch gets more bad publicity for selling thongs for girls ages 10-16. Apparently, these types of antics which offend the majority of society appeal to their target demographic.

just more reasons why i refuse to shop at a&f - the ridiculous prices are bad enough, but this shit is sick!
this only adds to my issues with the world………thanks for posting.

Evelyn,
The fact that ktheory.com/~evelyn points to some other site has to do with the way UNIX is set up. Since I’m too cheap to pay for dedicated hosting, I share the same server with lots of other people. There’s no way to change it.

ahhh, i see. that’s so bizarre. unix is silly… and that other girl is lame (not because of unix, but because she is just plain lame).
luckily, most people don’t randomly insert tildas into web addresses… mj excluded.
May 22nd, 2002 at 7:15 pm
Most (rational) people don’t use the word “tilda” in casual conversation. Shame.
May 23rd, 2002 at 12:22 am
tilda is a cool word! tilda tilda tilda. it’s like “matilda” only without the “ma.” “matilda” is my favorite book.
tildas however, are not cool. they are dumb. i don’t like them. i will refrain from actually using tildas in everyday conversation :)
May 23rd, 2002 at 12:23 am
oh, i will also refrain from using smilies. most rational people also steer clear of those (i’m 0 for 2 apparently…)
May 23rd, 2002 at 1:36 am
A gentle correction: the diacritical mark “tilda” is spelled tilde.
Evelyn, for more cool symbols check out Elements of Typographic Style–it’s a book I loaned to Margaret.

Those water baloon movies are great. But they weren’t done in space… they were done on the “Vomit Comet”, the DC-9 NASA uses to simulate zero-G.
