A Book to Solve My Problems

I want the book The Sound of the One Hand: 281 Zen Koans With Answers by Hau Hoo. Cecil from The Straight Dope says the book, “is my idea of an admirably no-bullshit approach to cosmic enlightenment”. That’s exactly what I need.

I’m sure that in this book lay the solutions to all my problems. Unfortunately, it’s out of print.

I guess a true Buddhist would try to repudiate his or her desire for the book. I’ll repudiate my desire once I have it.

Try “Two_Zen_Classics” by Katsuki Sekida. It’s the Mumonkan and Hekiganroku with extensive commentary. It worked for me, anyway.

i was interested as well when i saw that description on straightdope, so i proceeded to input ‘The Sound of the One Hand: 281 Zen Koans With Answers by Hau Hoo’ into my great friend Google, finding out that it is available on amazon.com still. it’s pretty damn expensive (the cheapest, damaged one being $19) but if you really want to get it i guess you can order it there. still 8 in stock (and no im not an amazon.com representative O_o)
