Price of convenience
After reading Tom’s Hardware Guide’s review of Windows XP, I was fascinated by the list of applications that are bundled or incorporated in Windows XP. In the past, you needed to use third-party software, but now Windows XP is a:
- Instant messenger
- Digital audio encoder
- CD burning program
- CD ripping program
- Image browser
- Video player
- Video editor
- Remote access
- Internet browser
- Email client
- Firewall
- Data compression
- Radio
