I’m home in Binghamton, NY for the summer. It’s good to be back, yes. At least for now. I think that for the next few days, I’ll enjoy Binghamton’s familiarity, but then I’ll miss the big city, the excitement and diversity.
The task at hand is for me to find a summer job.
I wish I were at the Chicago Blues Festival. Alas, I’m packing to go home. Next year, Blues Fest.

VerbosityIn the past 18 months, I’ve written 42,000 words in this weblog. For the next 18 months, my goal is to add 100,000 better, more meaningful words.
A Rave ReviewTuesday, I perused the local bookstore after my exams, and happened upon The Elements of Style by Strunk and White. That small book has completely changed my ideas about writing style. I wish to erase everything I wrote before and rewrite it using my new paradigms of simplicity and clarity.

Tampabay: Student removed from class because of drawings (from the St. Petersburg Times). This demonstrates the excessive and paranoid reactions to school violence. Of course, if the media didn’t have such a field day over every school shooting, there would be less violence, and less fear.
