Within an MP3 file are

Within an MP3 file are ID3 tags which contain information about the file, such as the artist, song title, album title, year, genre, etc. If you use Winamp, you can view and edit the ID3 tags by right-clicking on a song in the playlist and clicking ‘File Info’.
Anyway, the point I’m making is that in the list of hundreds of genres to choose from, there is a genre called ‘Christian Gangsta Rap’. Pardon the narrowness of my musical knowledge, but this genre seems oxymoronical. What the heck is ‘Christian Gangsta Rap’? If anyone has ever heard of something they would consider ‘Christian Gangsta Rap’, I’d be delighted to find out.

    Hey Folks,
I invented the term ‘Christian Gangsta Rap’ ..
I was starting up a radio station (nothing to do with rap)..
I just thought it sounded funny..
The terms ‘Christian’ and ‘Gangsta Rap’ together were so far removed..
The reason that you havent heard any music claiming to be from this genre
is becasue it only exists from March 2006..
Musically it doesnt exist at all
I entered into search engine as a genre for my radio station and
only as the internet can..the term snowballed around the world..
This my official staement on ‘Christian Gansta Rap’
    Cheers,

Also I want to stress that this is in no way meant to
be offensive to anybodys beliefs in any shape or form..

    Thanks Neil,

I feel inclined to point out that this weblog post was writting in April 2001. So the genre certainly existed before March 2006…
