I finally got around to making a decent about me section. New content, new design. Maybe it’s worth your reading.
Nice to meet you Danielle (weblog).
Today, I started working at the Broome County Council of Churches (hopefully one of my jobs will be to re-design their web site - it sucks). My responsibilties are mostly clerical/secretarial, but they occassionally need me for my macho muscles (I’m the only man there under 70). It was a lot of fun, […]
I’m going to make Elisha’s theory a self-fulfilling prophecy if she mentions that I mention her.
Today at work, a customer said I had a chiseled face that made me look like a Greek god. I think he was drunk, but I’ll take the compliment.
Stephanie motivated me to search for some stuff on anarchy, spurred by a discussion last night. The Anarchist FAQ seems to be the most comprehensive and well-organized repository of information on anarchism, and Liberty for the People is a good site about libertarianism.
I added A Clockwork Orange by Anothony Burgess to my summer reading list.
Prom pictures!
Marissa of abandon.org is another cool personal site to check out.
Thank you Melissa, Stephanie, and Grandma and Grandpa for the e-greeting cards. It made my day.Adele made my day twice yesterday. First, she wrote me a really nice email telling me how she likes me. Then she gave me a cool watch that clips on to a belt, rather than going around […]
Happy Birthday to Melissa today!
Since I was a toddler, my father and I have played basketball together - with a hoop that clipped onto a door, my father on his knees. For my sixth grade birthday present, he bought me an adjustable rim for the driveway. (I was the first kid on the block with an adjustable rim.) […]
Happy Birthday to me.
The past few days have just been a blur - prom, parties, graduation, more parties. Woah.
Microsoft recently unveiled .NET, a product “that integrates with Windows using XML to store all of your information on Microsoft servers, so any computer in the world can be used as “your” computer.”With Microsoft storing all my files on it’s own servers, why not just wait for the next generation versions of this program - […]
The Human Genome Project is virtually complete. Monday, it’s completion is to be announced (news articles at Salon and CNN). Genetics will definitely be one of the most important technologies of the next century, and this is a milestone for genetics analogous to landing on the moon for space science. If you’re interested […]
ShockFusion is an interesting site. Message board, email, and other community-oriented web features, all done with Shockwave and Flash. I happen to be on a mission to learn Flash at the moment, so you might see a Flash site up sometime soon. Also, I’m compiling my pictures from the prom - I’ll […]
Right now my rented tux for the prom is hanging in my closet, beside my graduation gown.
While driving to the mall for my tux, I had an emotional moment. I was listening to Dreams by Gabrielle, which I already described as having a nostalgic value to me. I started thinking about how many […]
Ooh. Sucks to be this guy.
Friction is an awesome site. Thanks to Melissa for the heads up.
Well, tomorrow is prom, folks. Technically, it’s today, but when you stay up this late it all gets blurred together. I tried to pick up my tux today, but they screwed it up, so I’ll get it tomorrow. If you don’t have […]
